Composite plastic for 3d Printing (ABS + Graphene Oxide)

3D printing is one of the fastest growing areas in which the attention of scientists and technologists is concentrated. Modern stringent requirements for plastic elements and 3D-printed products assume an increase in their characteristics – strength, durability, impact toughness, crack resistance, the ability to control thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity.

Graphene Plus specialists have developed a nanocomposite filament containing graphene oxide, which changes and significantly improves the characteristics of products obtained from it.

Modified high-quality thermally reduced graphene oxide (MTRGO) disperses well when extruded in 3D printing filament and significantly improves the performance of printed parts. Usage of up to 0.5% wt. MTRGO significantly increases the strength and hardness of parts printed on a 3D printer, helps to protect their surfaces from atmospheric influence and moisture, improves thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity, that is extremely important for elements used in energy and electronics. In addition, parts printed with graphene-containing filament have a nice silvery color and a smooth pleasant surface.

Research of the possibilities of using graphene oxide in 3D printing is in progress.
